NHS Hearing Aid Parts Explained
Your hearing aid is made up of a number of different parts, some of which have a simple job to do other parts are more complex.

1. Battery Draw

5. Ear Hook
Alternatively called the elbow is the connective piece between the hearing aid and the tubing. It should sit right at the top of your ear and needs to be the correct size to fit snuggly.
6. Tubing
This a simple plastic tube that sends that sound from the end of the ear hook down through the mould and out from the mould into the ear canal.
7. Mould
This fits into your ear and is generally made of acylic or silicone. It needs to create a good seal in your ear . The shape of the mould will depend on your hearing loss and type of hearing aid you have.
