How Loud is to Loud?
The adjective term for 'loud' is producing or capable of producing much noise. Th gtve adverb of loud means 'with a great deal of volume'. Loud can be often be described as a strong, powerful individual sound whereas more than one loud sound can be stated as noise.
Loudness levels are measured in decibels.
Loudness can be a subjective sensation. This can be measured by an audiologist using a test called Uncomfortable loudness levels (ULL's).
