It can be quite a remarkable thought to discover your growing baby develops their hearing ability before hitting 23 weeks. Even from as early as 9 weeks your little baby's ears are starting to appear as little indents to the side of their head and 7 weeks later the ears functionality starts to develop connecting the outer ear to the brain.

It is important to remember that your baby is in a fluid filled sac therefore sound they do hear will be dampened and muffled. The fluid also helps provide a protective barrier against loud sounds.
