One banana (100g) contains 27mg magnesium and 358mg Potassium. Not having enough magnesium intake can cause inner ear blood vessels to shrink not receiving enough oxygen. Research has also found magnesium supplements taken prior to noise exposure can reduce noise related hearing loss. Bananas are full of potatsium which helps to regulate the amount of fluid in your bodies cells and tissues. The inner ear is made up of endolymph and perilymph fluid, which means this part of the ear relies on a rich supply of potassium to help translate the sounds our ear hears into electrical impulses our brain understands.

Cranberries are a wonderful source of nutrients, packed with anti-oxidants to help prevent against diseases. Cranberries (per 100g) also contain 100mg of Zinc helping to keep our body's immune system in check, this includes our health in response to preventing and fighting against ear infections. Overall if you are prone to ear infections, cranberries are a great call!

Oranges are a great source of vitamin C and vitamin B1, they are also a great source of folic acid.  Folic acid is needed to help metabolise your immunity, creating and maintaining new cells. This is particularly important in maintaining inner ear hair cell function and lowering chemicals in the blood such as homocysteine that can restrict blood flow to the ear.
