Specialist Audiologist (Dorset)

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior Paediatric and Adult Audiologist to join our large and friendly team. The position will involve working with children of all ages, in both paediatric assessment and rehabilitation, and work within the adult audiology service. This is a part time position of 22.5 hours per week. We are a community based NHS audiology department sited in Bournemouth and hold clinics at outstations across East Dorset from Christchurch to Wareham. We aim to provide high quality services which improve the health, well-being and independence of the people within our community. We are currently looking for an Audiologist to join our friendly team who possesses and demonstrates behaviors that underpin this vision for audiological care. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual wishing to gain sound experience in a very busy and friendly department and who wishes to develop services further. We also provide services for balance, tinnitus, adults with learning difficulties and ENT services. At present we are working towards UKAS accreditation which will enhance the service further. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, well-motivated and flexible and will provide a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for our adult and paediatric patients, working both solo and as part of a team. Good communication skills are essential, together with the skills to provide excellent patient care and make independent clinical decisions. BSc Hons Audiology / MSc with CCC in Audiology, or equivalent qualifications required. The successful candidate will be required to work at our outstations as well as our main base, therefore a car driver with a full current driving license is essential.
