Sessional Family Sign Language Tutor (Scotland)

The National Deaf Children’s Society is looking for sessional Family Sign Language tutors in Scotland. Family Sign Language courses support families of deaf children to develop visual communication skills and an age-appropriate signing vocabulary to use with their child. Courses can be delivered in groups or 1:1, and can be held at family homes or external venues.

Experience required: 
The National Deaf Children’s Society is looking for new tutors who have the following skills and experience: • A native BSL user, or hold a minimum Level 3 BSL qualification. • Experience of working with families of deaf children. • A willingness and ability to travel to where courses are being delivered in Scotland. • A basic knowledge of BSL linguistics.
