Paediatric Audiologist (Ealing)
The Ealing Paediatric Audiology Service is an integral part of the Ealing Service for Children with Additional Needs (ESCAN) which integrates different health, education and social services for children. The central base of the service is at Carmelita House near to Ealing Broadway. There is a high level of integration and collaboration between different health, education and social care services.
The Paediatric Audiology department is looking for a motivated professional who has good interpersonal skills and able to work with children in a school setting. The post holder will be responsible to collaborate on carrying out the universal school hearing screening programme across all mainstream schools in the Borough of Ealing, for children aged 4-5 years old in Reception and to assess hearing with all different batteries of tests on children over 4 years old.
The post holder will be responsible for identifying children from the universal school screening programme who require a Tier 2 referral and assessment and informing parents/carers of the outcomes. The assessments will be performed in our community clinics or satellites clinics in the Borough of Ealing.
The post holder will be involved as second audiologist on clinics for the assessment and diagnosis of children under 4 years old, with either complex needs or clinics without complexity.
