Hearing Screener (Doncaster)

Our busy Newborn Hearing Screening Service is looking for a band 3 Hearing Screening to join our team for 21.5 hours a week (pro rata). The team currently consist of 5 Hearing Screeners, a Deputy and a Local Manager for Newborn Hearing Screening.

As a band 3 Hearing Screener, your role will be split between Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw District General Hospital and will include working on the busy maternity wards and outpatient clinics.

As a service, we offer hearing screening for all babies born within our hospitals. As a screener you will be working as part of the team to ensure all targets are met, offering hearing screens to babies from a few hours old. The service is provided 7 days a week, every day of the year excluding Christmas day and New Year’s Day.

Doncaster is a well located transport hub, with links to several major motorways and is easily accessible by public transport. There are frequent trains running to neighboring and nearby cities and towns. The Trust provides a free shuttle bus service from DRI to other main hospitals we serve, including Mexborough Montagu and Bassetlaw District General Hospital. A driving licence and access to a car would be desirable but not essential.
