Clinical Assistant in Hearing Implants (Nottingham)

A vacancy has arisen for maternity leave cover for 1 year for the role of Clinical Assistant in Hearing Implants, within the multidisciplinary Nottingham Auditory Implant Programme.The role is full time but candidates preferring part-time will be considered depending on experience (minimum 22.5 hours per week).The role includes providing support for cochlear implant users to get the most out of their cochlear implant systems, supporting equipment use, troubleshooting and maintenance, clinic preparation and depending on experience of the successful candidate, supporting Audiologists in clinic.In addition to experience in a healthcare or educational setting, applicants need to have experience of working with hearing impaired people. They must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate with deaf and
hearing impaired people. British Sign Language knowledge and qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential. The ability to prioritise and plan your workload is also important.
