This is a fantastic opportunity to work for the prestigious Centre for Deaf Education at City Lit, an internationally - renowned centre which supports deaf and hard of hearing people in a host of disciplines. The Centre is currently celebrating 100 years of deaf education so this is an exciting time to join a growing and dynamic, highly-skilled team. If you have experience providing BSL/English interpreting in an adult learning or commercial environment we would love to hear from you.

You will be part of a friendly, supportive team, working with deaf and hearing colleagues with many years of experience.  You will receive plenty of opportunities for co-working, supervision and further professional training. You will undertake interpreting assignments for external deaf students within education across London as well as providing an interpreting service for deaf staff within City Lit and for external deaf business clients as required. You will be an essential member of the team both internally and for our students with an expectation to assist with the use of the telephone by deaf staff, and to provide general office interpreting including email modification/interpreting as required.
