Audiologist (Hampshire)

An opportunity has arisen for a fixed term post to cover maternity leave as a staff Audiologist within Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and working at any of our other sites. The successful applicant will be an integral part of the Audiology team. The role will be working in the adult hearing aid service and supporting ENT clinics. The role will involve working independently carrying out direct referral and AQP hearing assessment and hearing aid fittings for routine cases. We run walk-in hearing aid repairs clinics and you would be working alongside trained Volunteer Hearing Aid support workers. You will also be supporting our busy ENT service with hearing testing of adults and children. You will be working in a recently refurbished Audiology department in Basingstoke with some regular work in outside clinics. We have a high-quality working environment with state of the art equipment; GN Otometrics Aurical hardware, Otosuite software and AuditBase patient management system. Although desirable, experience with this equipment is not essential as training can be provided. Applicants must have attained a BSc in Audiology (traditional or PTP) or equivalent qualification or better, and have some previous experience of performing routine Hearing Aid work. The post would suit a new graduate or someone wishing to expand their experience in Adult Hearing Aid work. There will also be the opportunity to assist in Paediatric Hearing clinics working in a small, busy and friendly team.
