Alera 9 is speficially designed for those regularly in challenging listening environment, large social functions, outdoors, travel environments in built with a number of features such as Directional MixT, Personalized noise reduction and Environmental Optimizer. 2.4 GHz wireless technology extends ReSound Alera’s reach and maximizes its benefits by letting people hear sound sources outside of a hearing device's normal range. ReSound Unite wireless accessories send clear, echo-free sound directly into the hearing aid without an intermediate device. Used with a custom fit mould (the open fitting would be suitable for good dexterity) and considering the larger hearing aid button/switch increase the dexterity to 4 thumbs up.
